4. Vital Booking Rules for 2026

  • The 24-Year Rule: To get the “Student” price in the table above, you must be under 24 years old. Even with a valid UK student card, if your passport shows you are 24+, you will be charged the Adult rate.
  • Cashless Gates: Physical cash is no longer accepted at the main ticket windows. Use a travel card like Revolut, Monzo, or Starling to avoid the high non-sterling transaction fees your high-street bank might charge.
  • The “Airport SIM” Trap: Avoid buying SIM cards from unofficial kiosks. Stick to the branded Orange, Vodafone, or Etisalat booths at the airport to ensure you get the full data amount you paid for.
